Eintracht Frankfurt and American Express have announced the start of a strategic partnership involving both the men’s and women’s first teams.
The agreement involves American Express becoming an Eintracht Frankfurt payment partner, which means card payments from the payment service provider will now be accepted throughout the stadium. On selected matchdays, American Express card customers will also benefit from special offers on fan merchandise, food and drink. For an even more visitor-friendly stadium experience, American Express will be integrated into the existing ‘fast lane’ system as an additional payment method in future.
The two parties will work together to make matchdays even more enjoyable for fans and provide access to exclusive experiences at the stadium.
American Express will also be represented as a partner at the renowned ‘Block im Park’ tech conference, a technology forum with over 400 participants and speakers, and featuring contributions on digital topics.
“American Express is a strong partner with a global reach and a perfect fit for Eintracht Frankfurt’s international focus,” said Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG CEO Axel Hellmann. “We’re really looking forward to taking part in many joint projects in all areas of Eintracht Frankfurt. This partnership is also a commitment to Frankfurt as a financial centre, which plays an important role for both parties thanks to its global networking and innovative strength.”
Fabiana Mingrone, Country Manager of American Express Germany, said: “Eintracht Frankfurt is a club with a long tradition and supported by an incredible fanbase. We want to inspire those fans and offer our card customers even more exclusive benefits and access to special experiences. We’re delighted to be working with a club as deeply rooted in the city of Frankfurt as we are.”
