That makes him the leader in the Golden Boot race but also sees him make some tournament history too.
Dating back to 2014, he has scored all of his countryâs last six consecutive World Cup goals and no player has more in succession without a team-mate getting on the score sheet.
Three other players have also achieved that feat: Eusébio, Paolo Rossi and Oleg Salenko, although Valencia is the only man to do so across separate editions of the competition.
