Bournemouth forward Evanilson has seen a three-game suspension overturned after the Cherries won their appeal against the red card he received during their 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

The forward was originally shown a yellow card for a tackle on Noussair Mazraoui, but it was escalated to a red following a review by the video assistant referee (VAR).

Evanilson appeared to lose his footing while attempting to press the United defender.

The dismissal would have resulted in a three-game suspension, but the Brazilian is now eligible to play against Arsenal this Saturday.

"An independent regulatory commission has removed Evanilson's three-match ban following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal," read a Football Association statement.

Bournemouth currently sit 10th in the standings with four fixtures left.

Should they finish eighth, they would qualify for next season’s Europa Conference League—provided Crystal Palace do not defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
