Arne Slot has guided Liverpool to the Premier League title in his first season as manager at Anfield.

The Reds’ coronation as champions was confirmed on Sunday after they demolished Tottenham Hotspur, winning 5-1 at Anfield to set off raucous celebrations on Merseyside.

Slot has added the Premier League title to the Eredivisie crown he won at Feyenoord, with the 46-year-old exceeding all expectations since replacing Jurgen Klopp last summer. It’s just Liverpool‘s second title of the Premier League era and equals Manchester United’s record of 20 English top-flight crowns.

The 46-year-old is the first Dutch coach to win the English title, the 12th manager overall to win the title in the Premier League era and only the fifth to do so in his debut season.

Sir Alex Ferguson holds the record with 13 titles won, followed by Pep Guardiola (6), Arsene Wenger (3) and Jose Mourinho (3).

Chelsea and Manchester City have had the most different title-winning managers with three each, while there have been four Italians to lead teams to glory – more than any other nation.

There are nine different nationalities among the Premier League-winning managers, but no English manager has ever won the Premier League title.
