Two years ago, Inter Milan sold midfielder Giovanni Fabbian to Bologna.

The Nerazzurri sold Fabbian on a permanent basis rather than loaning him out.

However, Inter do have a buyback clause on Fabbian. They can reportedly sign the 22-year-old back for a fee of around €12 million.

That clause becomes active during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Moreover, reports Tuttosport, Inter may have a desire to sign back Fabbian.

Inter Milan are ready to make a notable midfield shakeup during the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri will certainly expect to rely on Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Piotr Zielinski next season.

Meanwhile, Petar Sucic will join Inter at the end of the current season.

However, the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani could depart at the end of this season.

Therefore, Inter will certainly be looking for midfield reinforcements this summer.

And Giovanni Fabbian could very well be the perfect opportunity in this respect.

Inter can complete a quick deal to sign back the 22-year-old, who started in the Coppa Italia final for Bologna as they overcame AC Milan to win their first trophy in several decades.
