Ivan Juric weighs in on irritating first half against Wolves

Quite opposite to the fixture buildup, Southampton has lost 1-2 to Wolves. Post-fixture, boss Ivan Juric claimed that despite starting well, Larsen's goal turned the tide against their favor.

A heartfelt kudos to all the loyal Southampton fans out there. After all, witnessing your season revolve around these 3 things: Losses, chaotic scenes, and Boss Juric walking back on his comments isn't easy.

Now, as longtime supporters, the first two feel routine, but the oddly familiar third one frustrates us more.

And as if we haven't had enough disappointing trackbacks in the last months, boss Juric presented one again yesterday.

Remember the Croatian manager's pre-game words against Wolves? At that time only, such over-confident promises rang alarms, and what it eventually translated to was yet another defeat.

Yes, in matchday number 29, Southampton has lost another bunch of winnable crucial points against Wolves.

To note, what could have been a more Southampton-esque way of losing? A home game in which the Saints started well, just to gift the opposition the complete 3 points minutes later.

To top it off, boss Ivan Juric's puzzled comments ended the matchday perfectly.

Juric hints at a subpar Aaron Ramsdale Wolves performance

As quoted by the Daily Echo, post-match Juric said: "I think we started really good with the two great chances. Then we conceded the goal after 20 minutes. They never arrived near our goal and in this way, it's really hard."

Still, once again, Juric's honest phrases depicted the game situation clearly.

Know what? Surprisingly, unlike what was expected, Saints keeper Aaron Ramsdale delivered one of his worst performances at St. Mary's yesterday.

Though the ex-Arsenal man can be defended for Strand Larsen's leading goal, Ramsdale was clearly at fault on the second one.

But again, not every day a single player would save the Saints from embarrassment every time. The more quickly the club realizes this, the better.
