Jorginho is increasingly likely to leave Arsenal at the end of the 2024-25 season, and is reportedly due to hold talks with Brazilian Serie A side Flamengo in the coming days ahead of a potential move to South America.
The EURO 2020 winner will be out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign, and while there had reportedly been initial talks over a potential contract renewal, that now seems a less likely scenario.
Though a 55-time Italy international, Jorginho is Brazilian with Italian heritage, and grew up in Imbituba until he moved to Italy at the age of 15.

Jorginho is currently on holiday in the country of his birth, but according to reports from Tuttosport, the trip is also partly for business as well as pleasure.
Thursday’s report claims that Jorginho will hold talks with Flamengo in the coming days to discuss a possible move as a free agent once his Arsenal contract expires at the end of June.
Jorginho is reportedly open to the idea of a new experience in Brazil, partly due to the fact that his career as an Italy international is practically over, with Luciano Spalletti currently preferring a much younger midfield, often featuring the likes of Samuele Ricci, Sandro Tonali, Nicolo Rovella and perhaps Cesare Casadei now, too.
Among the familiar names at Flamengo are former Juventus full-backs Danilo and Alex Sandro.
