It is all change at Stade Rennais with Jorge Sampaoli replacing Julien Stéphan on the sidelines at Roazhon Park. Prior to that, Frédéric Massara arrived as the Breton club’s new sporting director, whilst even more recently former RC Lens chief Arnaud Pouille arrived to become CEO.

Those changes have not had a change on the stance of one major player – Arnaud Kalimuendo (22). The France youth international, a target for Juventus, almost left Rennes in the summer. He ultimately remained but Les Rennais will be pushing him towards the exit door once the January transfer window opens, according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.

Sampaoli’s arrival as manager could, however, change SRFC’s stance on a move for Amine Gouiri (24). The club had been looking to offload the Algeria international but Sampaoli may now count on him to lead Rennes’ attack, making a departure much less likely than it was just one week ago.
