Manchester United are showing interest in one Chelsea player who could leave the club in the next transfer window in January, according to a report this week.

The next transfer window is now fast approaching, and although Chelsea have had a decent start to the new season, there is always going to be some business that could be done in the winter window even after a very busy summer.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now looking at versatile Bundesliga defender for potential pending move!

Chelsea still have some players in the squad who are not playing and would probably like to be playing much more, namely Carney Chukwuemeka and Ben Chilwell.

This is likely to lead to both players looking at their futures and at the next opportunity to get out and play football elsewhere, which will of course be January.

Manchester United keen on Chilwell

Chilwell in Chelsea training last week

According to an exclusive from our colleagues at Caught Offside, Manchester United still hold an interest in Chilwell and could be ones to watch in January.

The report states that Chelsea are expecting a quiet January in terms of both incomings and outgoings, as they are currently happy with the state of their squad and with the team’s improved recent form under Enzo Maresca.

However, it is still expected that Chilwell and Chukwuemeka could leave Stamford Bridge.

Both players have been pretty much frozen out at the club in recent weeks, even if both have also touched grass, just very rarely.

United have been linked with Chilwell before and this is certainly one rumour that you can see sparking back up again.
