Milan have decided to wait for Marcus Rashford and to prioritize him over Kyle Walker, who’s ready to join them over other sides should they pull the trigger. The winger would eventually come in on loan with no option or obligation to buy, with Manchester United paying half of his wages, Corriere dello Sport informs.
The Rossoneri can sign just one of the two due to the rules for extra-EU signings despite an exception for English players. They added Emerson Royal and Strahinja Pavlovic in the summer.
Milan prefer fortifying their attack instead of the defense, so Rashford is above Walker on their wish list. In both cases, they’d have to remove one man from their Champions League list to accommodate the newcomer.
The Rossoneri had struck a deal with RB Leipzig for Noah Okafor, but he was sent back after the medicals. The Bundesliga outfit believes he’ll need a few more weeks to return from a calf injury. If the management doesn’t find a new destination, he could be simply excluded, Gianluca Di Marzio relays.
Monaco have inquired about Luka Jovic, who has fallen completely off the radar, also due to a sports hernia, but he’s already ineligible to star in Europe.
It’s a fair stance given the prospective impact, even though they’d have to find a way to fit the latter and Rafael Leao together. They have to be careful not to irk the other in the meantime. He can always change his mind if another team shows an equal amount of interest.
