According to Sky Sports News, Nantes have enquired about the possibility of signing Kamaldeen Sulemana (22) on loan from Southampton in the January transfer window. The Premier League club are looking to trim down their squad during the winter window.

Despite looking to reduce the size of their squad, the Ghanaian international attacker is not someone they would be looking to leave on a temporary basis with a permanent move preferred. Saints have set an asking price of €20m for Sulemana – a total that was agreed with Benfica in the summer before a move fell through.

Nantes are one of three clubs to enquire about a potential loan move with Ajax and Genoa also showing an interest. However, with the South Coast outfit prioritising the departures of other players and ruling out a loan move, Sulemana joining Les Canaris looks unlikely.
