For some, playing football is all about being able to win trophies and being able to have something to reflect on positively when they finally decide to hang their boots up.

Indeed, there will be a number of other players who will have just been delighted to have been able to make their dream of being a footballer come true, but many will want to experience the winning that goes with it.

However, despite the game being littered with a number of top stars from all around the world, there is always going to be a number of footballers who were never going to be able to add major silverware to their personal collections.

Now, that is a pretty impressive XI to have been created, and if many of them did not play in the same position, there would be many club managers that would have been delighted to have been able to field a side with that talent available to them.

We all know that Kane is one of the world’s top strikers at the moment, but Di Natale was also perhaps one of the top strikers in the game when he played, and perhaps also severely underrated by many.

Di Natale scored 227 goals in 446 games for Udinese, while he also scored 11 in 42 appearances for Italy. However, the closest he ever got to a title was for Italy in the 2012 UEFA European Championship Final, in which the Azzurri were beaten 4-0 by Spain.

Schneider is another player who was brilliant at what he did but was never able to get the rewards in regards to trophies. He finished second in the German Bundesliga on two occasions with Bayer Leverkusen, as well as a losing finalist in the German Cup on two occasions, as well as a runner-up in the UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup. Considering he managed to play 81 times for Germany and not win something, it seems rather extraordinary and the luck he had was nothing but rotten in the finals.
