Hansi Flick has made minimal changes as Barcelona announce their starting eleven against Athletic Club in the final match of the 2024/25 campaign.
Coming on the back of a defeat against Villarreal, Flick has largely retained the same group, even though many had predicted the German to ring in the changes.
There are a few changes in defence, however, with Inaki Pena replacing Marc-Andre ter Stegen in goal, in what could be the Spaniard’s final game for Barcelona.
Ronald Araujo replaces Inigo Martinez in central defence while Alejandro Balde comes in for Gerard Martin at left-back.
There are no changes in midfield, with Pedri, Gavi forming the double-pivot, with Fermin Lopez operating in a slightly more advanced role.
Even the attack has remained largely the same, with Flick once again putting his faith in the tried and tested trio of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha.
Flick does have an interesting set of subs, though. In defence, Hector Fort, Martin and Andreas Christensen can all come in.
As for midfield, Dani Olmo is an option alongside Frenkie de Jong and Pablo Torre, who is facing an uncertain future at the club.
Ansu Fati is another player who will be in focus as the forward may make an appearance later on.
Fati has been highly linked with a move elsewhere, and it won’t be surprising to see this becoming his last for the club.
