Official | Gerzino Nyamsi joins Lokomotiv from Strasbourg | OneFootball

RC Strasbourg have officially agreed to the transfer of Gerzino Nyamsi (27) to Lokomotiv Moscow.

The central defender leaves Strasbourg after representing the club 69 times in a two-and-a-half-season stint with the Le Racing he joined from Stade Rennais.

The defender had been a crucial component of the defence, starting in all but two of his appearances at the club, and was a key part of the squad that finished in 6th place during his first season at the club.

However, Nyamsi had been utilised less frequently during this season and in the context of the side’s continued efforts to focus on youth development it appeared obvious that the player would need to look for a new opportunity.

Despite the player now being surplus to requirements it was clear that he had left an indelible mark on his team. The club president, Marc Keller, had warm words for the departing player. “He always gave everything for the club for almost three seasons. Racing was able to count on a good player, committed to the project and very appreciated by his teammates. I wish him the best for the rest of his career.”
