Parma boss Fabio Pecchia did not hide his disappointment following his side’s 5-0 defeat to Roma at Stadio Olimpico.
The Italian manager addressed the media in his post-match presser.
“Analyzing a match like this, which ended 5-0, leaves little room to look for what was missing,” he said. “There is just nothing to talk about.”
“Immediately a penalty, 1-0, then 2-0. In the first half we tried to find the way to goal, trying to build the game, but there were some interventions also by the opposing goalkeeper that prevented us from getting our hopes up.”
“In my opinion, when we attack, we need to close the spaces better and defend the goal to then find the goal ourselves.”
“In the second half, however, Roma were clearly superior and we were below par. Furthermore, what I am most sorry about is having lost even more players in the defensive department.”
“This is the most negative aspect, because losing against Roma can happen, but we need to continue playing the next matches and, with such a reduced defense, we are really in difficulty.”
