Sport Bild reports that RB Leipzig will demand around €15m for attacking midfielder Eljif Elmas as they look to offload him in the winter.
Elmas only joined in January of this year from Napoli for €24m but has failed to establish himself at the Red Bull Arena, despite the side really needing him to step up in the absence of Xavi Simons through injury. The 25-year-old has registered just one assist in 22 games for Leipzig.
The North Macedonian international is currently out with a hamstring injury he picked up during the recent international break. The injury will likely keep him out for the rest of the year, meaning he may have already played his last game for Leipzig.
The sale of Elmas would also likely open the door for Leipzig to be active in the transfer market when it comes to bringing players in. Recent results have shown that the team is struggling on the attacking front while the likes of Loïs Openda and Benjamin Seško are also firing blanks in front of the goal.
