The board at La Liga giants Real Madrid have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ on the terms of a contract with Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller.
That’s according to transfer insider Nicolò Schira, who has on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of midfielder Stiller has of course proven an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the day to date.
This comes amid widespread claims that the 24-year-old has been earmarked as a leading transfer target on the part of Real Madrid and new boss Xabi Alonso.
Los Blancos are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to next season, eyeing a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos at the base of the club’s engine room.
And Stiller, it would appear, has been identified as the ideal profile of midfielder.
So much so that, as per the aforementioned Nicolò Schira:
‘Agreement in principle [reached] between Real Madrid and Angelo Stiller for a contract until 2030. Real Madrid are now working to reach a deal with Stuttgart.’
