While Luka Modric has already announced his departure from Real Madrid at the end of the season, Lucas Vazquez is expected to follow the Croatian midfielder through the exit door this summer.

Recent reports suggest Real Madrid are going to announce the exit of Lucas Vazquez after the FIFA Club World Cup.

Vazquez’s exit from Real Madrid would make sense as the veteran is coming on the back of a disastrous campaign.

The Spaniard has struggled to fill in the shoes of the injured Dani Carvajal and his lack of defensive prowess has proven to be costly for Los Blancos in key matches.

Despite his poor season, however, Lucas has no shortage of suitors, with a recent report from journalist Ruben Martin linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia.

As per the report, Lucas will play his last league game for Real Madrid tonight when Los Blancos take on Real Sociedad at Santiago Bernabeu.

While the veteran will appear for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, the player has a decision to make as he has received an important offer from Saudi Arabia.

Not much details have been given with regard to the said offer from Saudi Arabia, but there is a fair chance Lucas could become the next ex-Real Madrid hotshot to ply his trade in the Middle East.

Lucas’ former teammate Karim Benzema notably plays for Al Ittihad while Cristiano Ronaldo is still contracted to Al Nassr.

It must be noted that Lucas has also been approached by Qatari clubs – something that Ruben Martin alludes to in his report.
