Jack Grealish’s future at Manchester City is currently under evaluation, with the club expecting interest from several suitors this summer. Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs reportedly keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old, who has struggled for consistency since his £100m transfer from Aston Villa. Grealish’s valuation, as well as his ongoing role at the Etihad Stadium, will play a pivotal role in deciding whether he stays at City or moves elsewhere.
Since making the high-profile move to City in 2021, Grealish has been unable to consistently perform at the level expected of a player with such a hefty price tag. His £100m transfer fee has placed significant pressure on the England international, and despite Pep Guardiola’s support, he regularly finds himself on the bench. As GIVEMESPORT notes, “Pep Guardiola has tried his best to stick by Grealish and give him opportunities this season – but the player regularly finds himself on the bench and does not seem to be the key player he was once seen as.”

Grealish has shown flashes of brilliance, but his performances have not been consistent enough to secure him a regular starting spot in City’s star-studded lineup. With City boasting a wealth of attacking talent, the England star has often been sidelined, raising questions about his future at the club. Despite this, GIVEMESPORT sources indicate that City are still open to selling him, but the price must reflect his market value.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly among the clubs keen on signing Grealish in the summer, and according to GIVEMESPORT, “Tottenham are being linked with a surprise move this summer, and explorations into that have been interesting.” While there was no real chance of a move in January, Spurs could be more serious in their pursuit of Grealish when the summer transfer window opens. The club, who are in need of a creative attacking player, could see Grealish as the solution to their forward issues.

However, as the report points out, Grealish’s high wages remain a significant obstacle. With his £300,000 per week salary at City, any potential suitor would need to make a substantial investment, not only in terms of transfer fees but also in wages. Tottenham, whose wage structure generally limits player earnings to £200,000 a week, may find it difficult to accommodate Grealish’s current salary. Yet, if Tottenham manage to offload high earners like Heung-Min Son, they may be able to make room for Grealish and negotiate a lower wage package that suits both parties.
Grealish’s high wages and hefty transfer fee mean that any potential sale would need to be carefully negotiated. If City are willing to sell, they will likely expect a significant fee that reflects Grealish’s potential to contribute to a team’s attacking options.
Despite his struggles at City, Grealish remains a talented player, and if he moves to a club like Tottenham, he could rediscover his form in a more prominent role. Tottenham’s interest in Grealish is genuine, and a summer move could be on the cards if City’s valuation becomes more reasonable.

For Spurs, Jack Grealish could be an intriguing option for the club this summer. While his time at Manchester City has been marked by inconsistency, his talent is undeniable, and his ability to unlock defences and create chances could add significant value to Tottenham’s attack. Spurs have been in need of a player who can provide that extra bit of creativity, and Grealish could offer just that.
However, the financial aspect of the deal could be problematic. Grealish’s wages at City are a substantial hurdle, and Tottenham’s wage structure would need to be adjusted for a player of his calibre. The possibility of freeing up wages by offloading players like Son could make this move more feasible, but it would still require careful financial planning.
Moreover, as much as Grealish could be an asset, Spurs fans may question whether he can rediscover the form that made him one of the Premier League’s brightest talents. His time at City has been disappointing in some respects, and it’s unclear whether a move to Tottenham would provide the platform he needs to flourish.
Ultimately, while Grealish could be a good fit at Tottenham, the club would need to carefully consider both the financial and footballing aspects of the deal before making a final decision.
