Ticket sales for next month’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Chelsea and Arsenal have already exceeded 20,000.

The two clubs are set to meet at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 26 January 2025. Chelsea provided a ticket update yesterday which confirmed that more than 20,000 tickets have been sold for the match.

The contest is one of the most eagerly-anticipated games of the season. Chelsea lead the way in the Barclays Women’s Super League after dropping just a single point in the first half of the season. Arsenal suffered a shaky start to the campaign under former boss Jonas Eidevall and he left the club after Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over The Gunners in the reverse fixture at The Emirates Stadium back in October. Renée Slegers has since taken charge of the North Londoners and has enjoyed an 11-match unbeaten spell as interim boss.

Chelsea currently hold a seven-point lead over third-placed Arsenal in the Barclays Women’s Super League table therefore victory for either side at The Bridge next month could have a significant impact on the title race. A couple of months’ ago, Arsenal’s title hopes looked doomed but if they were to beat Chelsea, they may have an outside chance of ending in pole position come May.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Chelsea and Arsenal kicks-off at 12.30pm on Sunday 26 January 2025. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
