More matchday five action continued in the UEFA Womenâs Champions League on Thursday evening with eight teams going head-to-head.
Here is how everything went down.
Scorers: Hegerberg 1â˛, 45+3ⲠRenard 27â˛, Mbock 30â˛, Bruun 52â˛
Benfica hosted Lyon in Portugal and the visitors pulled off a commanding 5-0 win booking a spot in the quarter-finals in the process.
French giants Lyon took a very early lead after Ada Hegerbergâs pin-point header found the back of the net roughly 30 seconds in with the clubâs first shot.
And while the hosts held more possession, the visitors were the more clinical of the two sides.
Wendie Renard and Griedge Mbock scored one each alongside Hegerberg scoring another and Signe Bruun adding one more to win 5-0.
The result also means Benfica are eliminated.
Scorers: BonmatĂ 22â˛, Hermoso 38â˛, 75â˛, RolfĂś 45+1â˛
Thursdayâs mouth-watering clash saw Arsenal host reigning UWCL champions Barcelona at the Emirates and the hosts top Group C with a 4-0 win.
It was a thrilling encounter in the first half with both sides lunging forward looking for the opener but two defensive errors saw Barcelona take the lead.
Aitana BonmatĂ first picked off a poor pass then stayed calm, cool and collected to slot her strike home for 1-0.
Minutes later, Jenni Hermosoâs shot caused a scramble at the back for Arsenal and goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger couldnât prevent the ball from crossing the line.
Things would then go from bad to worse for the hosts as they struggled to contain Barçaâs threat. Fridolina RolfĂś hit one from way downtown to make things 3-0 at the break.
And while Arsenal did slightly readjust in the second half, including bringing on Vivianne Miedema, they failed to break down the visitors or take any control of the game.
Eventually, more shaky defending allowed Hermoso to add a fourth and the Gunners now wait until matchday six to find out their fate.
Scorers: Carusa 9â˛; Billa 27Ⲡ(P), 38Ⲡ(P)
Hoffenheim complete the comeback against Køge and stay in contention for the quarter-finals after a 2-1 win.
Despite having zero wins to their name and already being eliminated as a result, HB Køge took a shock lead through Kyra Carusa against Hoffenheim.
But it wouldnât last for long after a foul in the box allowed Nicole Billa to step up to the spot and make things 1-1.
Another defensive error from the hosts would then see Billa bag a brace before the break with another penalty.
Neither side could add to the score in the second half seeing things end 2-1 and the German club stay alive.
Scorers: Blackstenius 36â˛; Asseyi 39â˛, DamnjanoviÄ 45â˛, 54â˛, Dallman 73â˛, Beerensteyn 87â˛
Bayern Munich had to come from behind against Häcken but their second-half push to win 5-1 helped move them into the next round.
It was a nervy affair throughout the first half with both sides testing the waters and the visitors took the lead after Stina Blackstenius finished off a great team move for 1-0.
However, Bayern would go on and see Viviane Asseyi equalise for the visitors three minutes later before Jovana DamnjanoviÄ added a second.
After turning things around, the visitors found their groove in the second half with DamnjanoviÄ securing a brace, Linda Dallman making things 4-1 and Lineth Beerensteyn adding a fifth.
The 5-1 win plus Lyonâs later result means the German club have officially qualified for the quarter-finals.
Matchday six takes place on 15 and 16 December.
See you all again then!
