England’s 2-1 defeat to Greece at Wembley last night was pretty disappointing, and we didn’t get to see Cole Palmer at his best.

But luckily the attacker had already given us the most impressive snippets of highlights imaginable in training earlier in the week.

His touches in the rondo were so tiny, precise and perfect. It may not look like much compared to the spectacular lobs and free kicks we’ve seen from him this season, but these touches of the ball between defenders in tight spaces are maybe the most impressive things he does.

Just watch as top class defenders try to get the ball off him. They could try all day and never manage it. Even the top Premier League footballers all around him are made to look a level below. The rolled touch after 17 minutes… it’s pure magic from the Wythenshawe Wizard.
