Wolves are working on trying to tie Matheus Cunha down to a new contract amid interest from Arsenal in the Brazilian, according to the Daily Mail.
Cunha is the Molineux side's top goalscorer this season with 10 goals, as well as racking up four assists.
And his form has caught the eye of Arsenal, who are on the lookout for January reinforcements following the long-term injury to Bukayo Saka.
Though Mikel Arteta would like to sign Cunha this month, it is reported that "the Molineux club are determined to keep the 25-year-old this month, though sources close to the deal are not completely ruling out a move."
To try and keep him in the midlands, Wolves are ready to offer him a new deal, which could well include a release clause, and would also likely see him receive a significant wage bump.
Elsewhere, Wolves are also 'braced' for an offer from Saudi side Al-Shabab for midfielder Mario Lemina, who is out of contract this summer.
Could both be on the move this January?
