Manchester United hierarchy met up earlier this week in London to discuss several matters including the future of Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.

Despite speculation that this week would be pivotal in deciding Erik ten Hag’s future as Manchester United manager, there has been no public update about a decision being made on the former Ajax manager.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe previously distanced himself from being made the decision-maker on the Dutchman’s future with the part-owner stating that Omar Berrada, Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox will make the decision.

It is believed that Ten Hag is expecting to be in charge and preparing for the Brentford fixture at Old Trafford after the international break.

With no real update from the club after the meeting this week, it seems that Ten Hag’s situation is unchanged for the time being.

After the meeting in London, Manchester United supporters expected an update with the speculation and pressure mounting on the Dutchman.

The BBC journalist Simon Stone has said that there has been no update from the club about any decision being made on the Dutch coach.

Writing on BBC, Stone said: “Manchester United held a monthly board meeting in central London on Tuesday which the BBC reported as being significant in determining the immediate future of United manager Erik ten Hag.

“The meeting lasted around six hours, with footage of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe arriving and leaving published by some media.

“After the big build-up, silence. We don’t know the outcome because no-one is saying.”
