Inter will take a close look at Nico Paz on Monday, as they have earmarked him for next summer and have started concocting the strategy to sign him. Real Madrid control his future thanks to a manageable buy-back clause, TuttoSport informed.
Arsenal and Manchester United have sent their scouts to watch him a few times. Vice president Javier Zanetti was on the stands for the recent clash between Como and Roma. He played with the attacker’s father Pablo in the Argentinian national team in the 90’s. The starlet attended a charity event hosted by the foundation of the Nerazzurri legend about a month ago.
Real Madrid will likely activate their €12M option to re-acquire Nico Paz next summer, but it’s not certain he’ll stay put given their star-studded squad, and Inter could take advantage of that. The talent could be keen on continuing in Serie A given his early success.
Simone Inzaghi was asked about the budding forward in the pre-game presser (via Tuttomercatoweb).
“He’s a quality player, with a good physique and excellent foot. He has everything ahead of him, and he’ll have a great career. I don’t know him personally, but those who do speak highly of him on a human level too. I have no preclusions toward youngsters or veterans. Both are welcome. If we go in the first direction, I’ll accept it and work with them.”
It’s entirely possible he’ll make an intermediate step before playing for Real Madrid, but it’s unlikely that they’ll let him go altogether. The Nerazzurri haven’t been one of those teams willing to play ball with the ‘recompra’ clauses.
