Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and several of Milan’s first-team stars were busy on social media following the team’s surprise 3-1 victory away against Real Madrid in the Champions League as they reacted to a ‘magical’ night at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Milan rose to a 3-1 victory away against the current Champions League holders thanks to goals from Malick Thiaw, Alvaro Morata and Tijjani Reijnders.
Leao earned rave reviews from the Italian press in the aftermath of the Real Madrid victory. Though he was not on the scoresheet, he played a massive role in creating the second and third Rossoneri goals.
‘Always happy with you,” Leao wrote as a caption on an Instagram story, accompanying a picture of him and captain on the night Theo Hernandez.
Leao also shared a photo of US rapper Lil Durk along with the caption: “I was hurting & hustling at the same time … I still ain’t let sh** stop me.”

“Appreciate the Milan night,” wrote goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who was handed the player of the match award on the pitch after full-time against Madrid.

“This is Milan,” wrote Emerson Royal, who also shared a message for Leao on his Instagram story, which read: “You are an ace, I tell you this every day.”

Coach Paulo Fonseca also shared his thoughts on X after the final whistle against Madrid: “It was a magical night in Madrid. A show of character, courage and team spirit. This is the Milan we want. Thanks to all the fans who traveled and supported us at the Bernabeu,” he wrote.
