Dino Toppmöller, Robin Koch and Nnamdi Collins react to Tuesday’s 4-1 win over SC Freiburg.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “It was a really good performance from my players. We were in good control from the start and solid at the back. Looking at the table makes us happy, but it fills my heart with joy to see our wonderful spirit and the good energy we bring onto the pitch. This spirit can take us a long way. It’s special to be part of this group. Everyone has to give their all for us to be successful. Even the lads who aren’t in the squad give us good energy in training. That’s really important for us and something we can be proud of.”

Robin Koch: “We delivered a near-perfect performance. The goal we conceded came from their only chance. We had a lot of possession, plenty of chances and we were bold – and it was fun. We knew we were facing a powerful team who aren’t in a strong position by accident, but we were clearly the better side and able to implement our plan perfectly – occupying the spaces we wanted to in order to create goalscoring opportunities. My goal from the corner was also rehearsed. It looked easier than it was. We work in blocks and come up with ideas. It’s nice when it works out the way it did.”

Nnamdi Collins: “We played with determination, carried out our plan perfectly and got the three points with a 4-1 win. We’re all doing great. The last goal was the result of a quick passage of play and a great ball. Everything after that was a little spontaneous. All the better for me that it worked out the way it did. Scoring my first Bundesliga goal is an unbelievable feeling, the best so far in my career along with the win and the celebrations in front of the home fans.”
