Venezia close in on Ben Yedder deal after Fila announcement | OneFootball

Venezia have recently confirmed the signing of Daniel Fila on a permanent deal from Slavia Prague, and are now close to securing a deal for former Monaco and Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder as well, according to updates in Italy.

Ben Yedder has been available as a free agent after leaving Monaco at the end of his contract at the back end of the 2023-24 season.

He left as the club’s second highest goalscorer of all time with a record 118 goals from 201 appearances in all competitions. 98 of those strikes came in Ligue 1.

He also hit 10 goals in back-to-back Europa League campaigns during his time with Sevilla.

The former France international has not been without his legal issues off the pitch, however. Back in November, he was fined and handed a two-year suspended sentence after being found guilty of drink-driving, sexual assault and refusal to co-operate with authorities.
