Wissam Ben Yedder in talks with Venezia FC | OneFootball

Former AS Monaco centre-forward Wissam Ben Yedder (34) has entered talks over a deadline-day move for Serie A side Venezia FC, according to a report from Le Parisien. The 19th-placed Serie A outfit have reportedly submitted the France international a contractual offer. Ben Yedder is a free agent since the expiry of his AS Monaco contract last June.

This year, Ben Yedder has been embroiled in several cases of sexual misconduct. Ben Yedder was notably handed a two-year suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of sexual assault while intoxicated. Ben Yedder’s judicial supervision does not forbid him from playing at a professional level. The former Sevilla centre-forward reportedly went into rehab in Nice and joined a specialized center to return to match fitness.
