American rapper A$AP Rocky was cleared on two counts of felony assault on Wednesday.
The musician, whose legal name is Rakin Athelston Mayers, had been accused by Terell Ephron of firing shots at him during an argument in 2021.
Mayers was looking at potentially 24 years in prison but his case was dismissed earlier today, much to the delight of the rapper and his wife Rihanna.
Why are we reporting this here on OneFootball you may ask?
Well, that non-guilty verdict is potentially excellent news for Tranmere Rovers.
The Birkenhead-based side, who famously always used to play their home games on a Friday so as not to clash with Liverpool and Everton, are looking for a buyer.
A$AP Rocky, along with a consortium of backers, is now, according to Sky Sports, expected to make an offer to current owner Mark Palios.
Tranmere are currently 22nd in League Two and last won a game back on January 4 against basement club Carlisle.
Can they do a Wrexham under the guidance of the man Liam Gallagher once thought was called 'WhatsApp Ricky'?
