The agent of Francesco Pio Esposito says that Napoli want to sign the teenage striker, but that Inter Milan will decide on his future.
The 19-year-old’s agent Mario Giuffredi gave an update on Italian broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, via FCInterNews.
Teenage striker Francesco Pio Esposito finds himself at something of a crossroads this season.
The 19-year-old enjoyed an absolutely outstanding season on loan with Spezia. He scored eighteen goals for the Ligurian club.
Pio Esposito’s goals are a big part of the reason why Spezia are in the final of the Serie B promotion playoff against Cremonese.
Should Spezia triumph and return to the top flight, there is a sense Pio Esposito will stay there on loan.
Having successfully grown and developed over the last two seasons, there’s no reason why a third with Spezia wouldn’t benefit Pio Esposito.
However, should Spezia not come up, then the 19-year-old will likely go to a different club. There is a strong sense that it’s time for him to step up to the top flight.
There are a few clubs with an interested in Pio Esposito. Reportedly Parma have asked about the 19-year-old’s signature. And then the likes of Bologna and Torino also want to sign him on loan.

In the meantime, Napoli have also made absolutely no secret of their interest in Pio Esposito.
However, the newly-crowned Italian champions don’t just want to sign the 19-year-old on loan. Rather, they’re aiming to sign him outright.
And reports suggest that the Partenopei would even be ready to fork over a big fee to land Pio Esposito.
The player’s agent Mario Giuffredi updated that “Napoli are always paying attention to young players.”
“I have a great relationship with Inter,” he continued. “They’re a very serious club.”
Giuffredi then noted that “we’ve extended his contract until 2030.”
“Napoli are big fans of him,” Pio Esposito’s agent said. “But I have to share some things with Inter, who will decide what to do with Pio Esposito.”
