Everton have entered the race for top Chelsea transfer target Liam Delap and held a direct meeting with the striker according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues are once again set for a busy summer and could look to fund their business by selling as many as seven or eight players.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a centre back, right footed attacker and striker to bolster Enzo Maresca’s squad.
A striker is absolutely the main priority and Chelsea have paid the price for failing to sign an alternative to Nicolas Jackson both last summer and in January.
The Blues have identified Delap as one of their top targets, with the 22-year-old available for £30m following Ipswich’s relegation.
Maresca is a fan of Delap and the England under-21 international has scored 12 league goals in his debut campaign.
