It has been reported that Kinnear will join Everton at the end of the season, as the Toffees look to bring in a new football executive as they prepare for life at their new stadium.

From the outside, that would appear to be a big blow for Leeds, as Kinnear has been a key figure off the pitch in recent years, having remained in his post after 49ers Enterprises bought the club from Andrea Radrizzani.

So, even though Kinnear isn’t part of the coaching setup, you would expect his departure to be felt by Farke if he did move on.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that the German was quizzed on Kinnear’s potential exit, but he didn’t give much away when speaking to journalist Beren Cross, as he insisted that Leeds’ success means everyone involved will be attracting attention.

If you are doing well as a club, there's lots of interest. If the club is progressing well, players and staff will get interest. It belongs to this business of doing well. When I was younger, I would be more bothered by this stuff. Not a topic to comment on.”

Leeds United can kick on without Angus Kinnear

There’s no doubt that losing Kinnear would be a blow, as the CEO is obviously a hugely important role at a football club.

Even though there have been highs and lows over the years, he has generally communicated well with the fans, and he is someone that Paraag Marathe values, and the fact Everton want him shows he is respected in the game.

But, these things happen in business and football, and it won’t change the overall strategy and approach that Leeds have.

It’s not just about winning promotion this season, which seems inevitable, but then establishing the Yorkshire outfit back in the top-flight, and there are big plans for the stadium and the overall growth of the club.

So, if Kinnear does move on, it will be an attractive job for someone, and it will be interesting to see how things change for Leeds in the summer.
