A deserved win, a logical consequence of a better performance on the whole. 1-0 AC Milan at PUMA House of Football, Sampdoria lost as a result of a goal from Evelyn Ijeh in the midst of stoppage time. The Rossonere dominated for the most part, giving the sense that we would score a lot, even though then goal from the Swede - second goal of the season, completing 94% of their passes (33 out of 35) this afternoon - arrived quite late to win against the blucerchiate, harmless in attack apart from a few attempts in the latter stages of the game.

A performance full of pleasant highlights: Coach Bakker's side played a smart brand of football, with different phases of play which were quick, vertical and team based. The third consecutive win in Serie A Femminile, follows the strong momentum which followed the Derby, Lazio and Napoli games. The sixth Matchday allowed for us to improve our league standing, making it even more interesting: the Rossonere are currently in fourth position on ten points, in the Poule Scudetto zone. Now we will look ahead to the next match, a big and importante one against the reigning champions: scheduled for Sunday 20 October at 16:00 at home to Roma.

MATCH REPORT AC Milan were the ones to take the initiative in the match, moving the ball and applying pressure: in the fifth minute Renzotti's cross for Dompig was cut out by Cafferata creating some disruption for Tampieri, in the ninth minute Renzotti played in Nadim but the precise move couldn't be finished off by Soffia, in the 14th minute Soffia tried to find Renzotti who couldn't quite get it on target. The game was only played in the opponent's half: in the 27th minute Nadim tested the goalkeeper from the edge of the area, in the 28th minute R. Ávila's right-footed shot went wide, in the 30th minute Nadim had another attempt - this time directing a header from a Dompig cross - but Tampieri saved it. In the 37th minute great coordination and a powerful shot from R. Ávila forced Tampieri to tip the shot over the bar. In the 43rd minute Renzotti's shot didn't hit the target. The Ref blew for half time.

The Rossonere started the second half in a strong fashion: in the 47th minute Renzotti was denied by Tampieri, in the 49th Cernoia came close, the 50th minute Ijeh came close to breaking the deadlock. Sampdoria stepped it up, Heroum with an attempt in the 52nd minute. Renzotti tried again, in the 57th minute her attempt didn't trouble the keeper. In the 60th minute: Soffia set up Dompig who put it in the middle, Ijeh shot but the defence cleared it, Nadim arrived but mishit from close range. The ball didn't seem to want to go in, in the 67th minute Cernoia played in Nadim but she didn't trouble the keeper. Close the 70th minute mark Nano couldn't finish off a counter. After a shot from Dompig, in the 71st minute the Diavolo finally broke the deadlock: a pass from R. Ávila allowed for Ijeh to shoot, who managed to put it in the bottom corner with a curled shot. From pressure to managing the game, the final moments came with a few scares, in the 85th minute and stoppage time Arcangeli couldn't convert. The final whistle blew.
