Mohamed Salah has been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for a record-equalling seventh time.
Salah has moved level with Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero as a seven-time winner of the monthly award, following a brilliant February for Liverpool.
The Egyptian international scored six goals and provided four assists in the month, to extend his lead as the Premier Leagues’s leading scorer and assist provider this season.
Salah saw off competition from Everton forward Beto, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh, Tottenham full-back Djed Spence and Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai to take the prize.
The 32-year-old’s award is his second of the campaign, having also picked up November’s accolade. He previously won the Premier League Player of the Month award in November 2017, February 2018, March 2018, October 2021, and October 2023.
His record-equalling seventh award continues a season of milestones for Salah. His 44 goal involvements in the Premier League this season are a joint-record in a 38-game season, with nine games still to go.
Last week, he netted his 183rd and 184th goals in the Premier League to move up to joint-fifth in the all-time scorers list. Level with Sergio Aguero, the duo are the highest-scoring overseas players in the league’s history.
