However, in a major update, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona and Raphinha are close to reaching an agreement to extend the Brazilian winger’s contract until 2029.

Although a few details still need to be finalised, most notably the release clause, sources close to the player state that there will be no issues and the agreement is virtually done.

Raphinha is currently under contract until June 2027. The new deal would elevate him to the club’s top salary tier, a status he has earned through consistent performances and strong commitment, particularly throughout this season.

Negotiations began in March and have progressed smoothly, with both parties expressing a clear desire to continue their relationship.

Raphinha himself made his stance clear before the most recent Clasico. When asked, “What is next?” he replied confidently, “My renewal.”

Raphinha rejects Saudi Arabia

Despite receiving highly lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, Raphinha has prioritised Barcelona’s sporting project.

The former Leeds United ace sees the Catalan club as the ideal environment to compete at the highest level and has turned down major financial offers to stay. His dream is to succeed at Barça, and his actions continue to reflect that ambition.
