The final stretch of the La Liga season will begin tomorrow as Barcelona take on Osasuna at Montjuic. It will be the first of eleven matches remaining this season, with the Catalans looking to maintain their top spot in the league table.
Barça are currently level with Real Madrid at the top of the league table but have played one match less. That means a win against Osasuna could extend their lead to three points heading into the next matchweek.
As mentioned earlier, Barcelona have 11 games to play till the season’s end, which starts with tomorrow’s contest against Osasuna.
During this stretch, Barça will have an excellent home advantage as they play seven of their last 11 league games at Montjuic.
Indeed, the Catalans will take on the likes of Osasuna, Girona, Real Betis, Celta Vigo, Mallorca and Real Madrid at home during this period.

This is quite significant considering the fact that Osasuna, Girona, Betis and Real Madrid can be formidable foes. And therefore, retaining home advantage can always tip the balance in favour of Barcelona.
As for the away matches, the Blaugrana will take on Leganes, Real Valladolid, Athletic Club and Espanyol.
Barcelona have played 12 home matches in the league this season, securing nine wins. They are currently fifth in the home table, but have played the fewest number of matches on their turf.
At the same time, though, three of Barcelona’s five losses have also come at Montjuic.
All in all, how Barcelona can utilise their home advantage during the final phase of the campaign will go a long way in determining whether or not the Catalans can reclaim the La Liga title this season.
