The league and the club communicated the update on Friday following another review of the situation and newly submitted documents.

Back in April, the club admitted to a breach of £16.6million ($21m) for their 2022-23 PSR calculation. After an independent review, they were subsequently deducted two points for 2023/24.

That same independent review suggested reviewing the club's treatment of interest payments for their new stadium and whether or not they were again in breach of PSR. However, the Premier League confirmed it has shut down such investigations.

"After considering the further information and documents provided by the Club in detail, the Premier League Board has concluded that it would not be appropriate or proportionate to continue to pursue the second part of their [independent review's] complaint," read an official statement.

"The Club and the League agree that this brings to an end all proceedings between the League and the Club in relation to the Club’s breaches of the PSR for the financial years ending 30 June 2022 and 30 June 2023."

Everton currently sit 16th in the Premier League table this season.
