Inzaghi tempted by huge 30m Al-Hilal salary to quit Inter | OneFootball

There are growing reports that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could be tempted by the huge €30m per season salary offered by Al-Hilal.

The interest from the Saudi Pro League side was no secret, but until now it had been assumed both he and Inter would shrug it off to continue their journey together.

That is no longer necessarily the case, as Calciomercato.it, Virgilio Sport and others suggest both parties will wait until after the Champions League Final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday to make a decision.

It is suggested the President of Al-Hilal even secretly met with Inzaghi in a Milanese hotel.

Inzaghi future at Inter no longer certain

Inzaghi is still under contract with Inter until June 2026 and President Beppe Marotta has confirmed the club’s intention to offer him a new deal to 2027.

That would also increase his salary to circa €7m per season.

However, the details are emerging about the sheer scale of the wages on offer from Al-Hilal, which including various bonuses and benefits would be at least €30m per season.

It would make him the highest-paid coach in the world right now.

Saudi news channel Saudi Sports Company report that Inzaghi’s agents held talks for two days with the club, who want him on the bench in time for the Club World Cup, where Inter are also participating.

The coach has been at Inter since 2021, amassing one Serie A title, two editions of the Coppa Italia, three Italian Super Cups and reaching two Champions League Finals.
