Preview: Burnley vs Leeds United | OneFootball

Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship action on Monday evening as they head across the Pennines to face Lancashire outfit Burnley, with action from Turf Moor getting underway at 8pm.

The Whites head into the clash with the Clarets in fine form, unbeaten in their last 11 encounters in all competitions, and winning their last two without conceding a goal.

Yorkshire derby-day bragging rights were secured first up with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, courtesy of goals from Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani and Ao Tanaka.

Solomon was again on the scoresheet, and this time in the opening few seconds, against Norwich City midweek to get Daniel Farke’s side off to the dream start against the Canaries, before Dan James’ close-range strike in the second half made sure of another important triumph.

That result saw United reclaim top spot in the Championship standings, three points clear of third-placed Burnley.

Last time out, Scott Parker’s side dominated in Devon as they dismantled Plymouth Argyle 5-0 at Home Park, with Zian Flemming and Josh Laurent both grabbing a brace and Josh Cullen adding to the tally before the break.

Before that, the Lancashire outfit were forced to settle for a point as they were held to a goalless draw by Sunderland at Turf Moor.

The Whites will be keen to avenge an earlier result in the season when the two teams met at Elland Road, which saw Burnley run out 1-0 winners in West Yorkshire.
