After months of speculation and uncertainty, France’s national team coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed that Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe will return to the squad for the upcoming international fixtures in March.

The situation intensified when the forward opted out of two France squads last year, choosing to focus on adapting to his new club, Real Madrid.

The French manager acknowledged that the 25-year-old had been going through a challenging period in his personal and professional life but reassured that the forward has now regained his form and focus.

“Of course, he will be there. Why wouldn’t he be there?” Deschamps told L’Equipe.

“Yes, for very specific reasons. But he will be there if nothing happens to him between now and then.

“He is very attached to the French team, even if he has had a complicated personal period. He has found all his means and, inevitably, it shows in his game, and in his head too,” he added.

Mbappe’s return to the squad will be a major boost for France as they prepare for crucial international matches. His performances for Real Madrid have shown a steady improvement, and Deschamps believes he is now in the right frame of mind to contribute to the national team.

The forward remains an integral part of the squad and is expected to play a key role in France’s ambitions going forward.
