Scott McTominay returns with Romelu Lukaku and David Neres for Napoli, while Bologna look to Riccardo Orsolini, Thijs Dallinga and Dan Ndoye, but Alex Meret and Alessandro Buongiorno pull out.
It kicks off at the Stadio Dall’Ara at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
This is a huge fixture that will have an effect on both the Scudetto race and the battle for Champions League qualification.
Bologna are fresh off a 3-0 midweek Coppa Italia semi-final victory over Empoli, confirming the excellent form that has seen them win six official matches on the bounce.
With Atalanta crumbling, it means a victory here would see Vincenzo Italiano’s side leapfrog them into third place.
Davide Calabria is the only injury absentee, although Santiago Castro is only fit for the bench after a muscular issue on international duty with Argentina.
Orsolini, Jens Odgaard and Ndoye therefore support centre-forward Dallinga, who scored twice against Empoli.
There was a problem in the warm-up for Lewis Ferguson, who is replaced in the starting XI by Michael Aebischer.

Inter fumbled a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Parma on Saturday, so if Napoli win here, the gap at the top of the table will be cut to just one point.
Having missed the victory over Milan suffering from flu symptoms, McTominay returns here in a 4-3-3 formation with David Neres and Matteo Politano supporting Lukaku.
Leonardo Spinazzola is out of action, but Stanislav Lobotka and Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa shook off problems to bolster the midfield.
There were a few concerns after Alex Meret suffered flu symptoms and had originally been named in the starting XI, but then backed out in the warm-up for Simone Scuffet.
Alessandro Buongiorno also drops to the Napoli bench for Juan Jesus due to a small muscular issue.
Coach Antonio Conte must watch from the stands due to a touchline ban.
