Barcelona star Wojciech Szczęsny has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of a somewhat forgotten member of the club’s first-team ranks.
The player in question? Pablo Torre.
Youngster Torre, for his part, has of course seen his opportunities to contribute gradually decrease at Barcelona across the season to date.
After initially playing an important role in Hansi Flick’s squad amid a shortage of options in the middle of the park, the 21-year-old has since been afforded just two starts since all the way back in late September.
This comes with the likes of Dani Olmo, Fermín López and Gavi now back fully fit and firing.
And yet, as alluded to above, if the latest comments on the part of one of his teammates are anything to go by, then Torre, evidently, makes his presence known on the training pitch.
Speaking during an interview with ESPN (as cited by Diario Sport) this week, Wojciech Szczęsny was asked which members of Hansi Flick’s ranks cause him the most trouble when it comes to making saves on the training pitch.
And, after jokingly pointing towards defenders the likes of Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez, the shot-stopper went on to respond:
“Lamine Yamal, Pablo Torre and Dani Olmo.”
