A game that could see Newcastle United make it ten wins in a row and/or Alexander Isak make it nine Premier League matches in a row where he has scored. Having grabbed a total of 11 goals in the last eight PL games.

The United striker says that they are taking it just one match at a time; “…but we can’t hide from the fact that we want to be in the Champions League.”

As for personal aspirations, Alexander Isak declares; “I always aim as high as possible” and wants to achieve his ambitions WITH Newcastle United.

“I always aim as high as possible, I want to be the best.

“That is the ambition and I will have to keep working hard and doing good things, which I am doing at the moment.

“It is hard to judge me and where I am at, but I am certainly happy with where I am at the moment.

“It is hard to set specific targets, obviously we want to get into the Champions League.

“You can see where a good run can take you.

“If you look two months back, we were in a completely different place. Now we have had a good run and we are fourth.

“So yeah, we really just have to focus on our performances, but we can’t hide from the fact that we want to be in the Champions League.

“It is amazing, [the fans] love their team and they love their striker.

“Everywhere you go in this city everyone is loving Newcastle, which is special.

“It is the best feeling I have had in my career, scoring goals in front of these fans, it is special.

“Bournemouth are also on a good run. I think they have not lost in 10 games, so it is also a team in form, and any game will be difficult if you are not on it and doing the right things.

“So, as I said, we need to focus on ourselves, but it is going to be a difficult one.

“It [personal scoring records] is not [something I strive for], but I will be honest, looking back later in your career when you stop playing, those are nice things to have – the records and achievements.

“I think now, it is just about keep scoring for the team for myself.

“I am not really looking at the records because that would probably get in my head if I was thinking too much about that.
