According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are poised to wrap up two key contract renewals this week, sending a strong message of stability and continuity at the club.

The first is for head coach Hansi Flick, whose extension is expected to be finalised today. The German tactician, who only took over in the summer of 2024, will now extend his contract by one more year, committing to the Catalan club until 2027.

This move underlines the board’s full trust in Flick’s vision and his early work with the squad. His renewal reflects Barça’s desire for long-term planning, avoiding managerial turnover and allowing the project to grow organically with the right structure in place.

Then there is Raphinha

The second renewal, perhaps more eye-catching to the fans, is that of Raphinha. The 28-year-old Brazilian forward will sign his new contract on Thursday, reaffirming his commitment to Barcelona after what has been nothing short of a spectacular season.

Raphinha has been directly involved in 56 goals, scoring 34 and providing 22 assists, a return that places him among the most decisive attackers in Europe this campaign.

His current deal runs until 2027, and while his extension is not as pressing as other players whose contracts end in just over a year, both the club and Raphinha himself are eager to put pen to paper.

Club president Joan Laporta has made it clear that Raphinha is part of Barça’s long-term project, stating in a recent interview that, “Securing his continuity is one of the pending issues we expect to resolve in the coming days or weeks.”
