Barcelona star Ronald Araújo has this weekend named a member of the attacking ranks at arch rivals Real Madrid as the toughest opponent whom he has ever faced.

The player in question? Vinícius Jr.

Wide-man Vinícius and stopper Araújo have of course locked horns on a whole host of occasions across their respective careers to date.

And the general consensus amongst fans is that, in such meetings, it is the latter who has enjoyed the best of things.

Araújo has performed superbly against Vinícius on a number of occasions in the past, even when asked to line out in an unfavoured role at right-back.

Evidently, though, as much did not come without its challenges for the Barcelona man.

Speaking during a quick-fire interview with Diario Sport this weekend, Araújo was asked to name the most difficult opponent he has ever faced.

And the Uruguayan did not hesitate in responding:
