Besiktas approach Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus

Fabrizio Romano reports that Besiktas have made an approach for Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.

The transfer window in Turkey closes on the 11th of February and Besiktas’ approach was a loan with an option to buy. The decision on if the deal goes through is down to Gladbach.

However, as the transfer window is already closed in Germany, there may be a reluctance for Die Fohlen to allow the midfielder to leave as they only have Julian Weigl and Philipp Sander who are currently fit, with Rocco Reitz out injured. On top of this, Neuhaus put in a strong performance in Gladbach’s 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend providing the assist for Tim Kleindienst’s opener.

On the other hand, Neuhaus has already been made to play a bit part role under Gerardo Seoane, with most of his appearances this season coming off of the bench. In January, Neuhaus was linked with a loan move to Bundesliga strugglers Bochum.
