Gareth Taylor gathered his team together today for the team photograph for 2024/25.

As you might expect, there were plenty of smiles on show as our snappers took the official shot.

New captain Alex Greenwood took her place next to the boss and also on show were new signings Risa Shimizu, Naomi Layzell, Vivianne Miedema, Aoba Fujino, Ayaka Yamashita and Katie Startup.

The mood was good at the Joie Stadium shoot on a beautiful if crisp day in Manchester.

And no wonder given the superb start we’ve made to the season.

We’ve picked up three wins and a draw in our first four WSL games to lie third in the table while in the Champions League, we’ve secured two straight wins to top Group D – the first a sensational 2-0 victory over current holders Barcelona and the second a comeback 3-2 triumph over St Polten.

It all points to a strong season for our women’s team.
