Hansi Flick keeps the door open for out-of-favor Barcelona forward to find opportunities again | OneFootball

There is no room at FC Barcelona to experiment right now or give extra chances to players. Now at a crucial point in their season, the Catalan giants are looking to compete for every single title. However, to do that, Hansi Flick needs the entire Barcelona squad to play at their best level.

Unfortunately, that has also meant that certain players have not found the prominence that they would have ideally wanted. Instead, they have had to fight for opportunities and even then only certain players have managed to earn those chances that they crave.

For Ansu Fati, however, the reality of his situation is a dire one. The player has been constantly left out of squad lists by the German coach, and it is clear to see that he is not in the Barcelona manager’s current plans. However, even now, it seems that Flick has not completely taken all hope away from the Spanish forward.

According to MARCA, in a recent conversation between the player and the coach, Hansi Flick assured him that he could earn his way back into the team if he kept working hard and improving:

“If you keep working like this and improving, you will get your chance.”

Later on, the coach even addressed the issue himself publicly and clarified that he is always open with his players regarding his decisions:

“Leaving him out of the squad was a team decision—that’s all I can say. I already addressed this in the pre-match press conference. I spoke openly with him. We’re working on it, and he’s responding very well. He’s staying close to the team, and that’s exactly what I want to see. It’s fantastic.”

At the same time, however, Flick has also spoken to Fati about the possible interest that has arrived from Turkey. Despite the player not being open to joining any side apart from Barcelona or leaving the club, it is still true that there is an opportunity for him to go out on loan.

With the transfer window set to close in Turkey on Tuesday, there is still a chance for the player to leave on loan due to a lack of opportunities this season. However, the final decision rests with the player, as Barcelona believe he has the right to choose for himself.
