The Catalan giants made an impressive start to the 2024-25 league campaign before suffering a wobble in November and December.
However, Hansi Flick’s side were impeccable in the new year, winning 15 of their 17 matches to become the champions of Spain.
The Blaugrana also sealed the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana trophies, and emerged victorious in all four meetings with arch-rivals Real Madrid.
The following players were key to Barcelona’s title success this season.
Not everyone was convinced when Barcelona paid around €50 million for Robert Lewandowski in 2022. However, the 36-year-old has proved to be an excellent signing.
Lewandowski played a pivotal role in Barca’s success this season, bagging 25 goals and two assists in 32 La Liga appearances.
He bagged a brilliant brace in the 4-0 thrashing of Madrid in October, but was not involved in the latest El Clasico after returning from a hamstring injury.
Raphinha deserves as much credit as Lewandowski for the Catalans’ domestic successes this campaign.
The 28-year-old was struggling for game time under Xavi and looked set to leave the club last summer when they were pursuing Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
However, Flick convinced Raphinha to stay. The Brazilian has tallied 18 goals and 11 assists in 34 league matches, including a brace in Barcelona’s 4-3 triumph in the recent El Clasico.
Lamine Yamal has already achieved so much in world football. Following his exploits for Spain at the 2024 European Championship, the teenager helped Barca win the domestic treble.
Yamal scored in Thursday’s win against Espanyol that clinched the title for Barcelona.
He also scored in both Clasico meetings in the Spanish top-flight, and recorded 18 goals and 11 assists in 34 matches.
